Signature of the convention of twinning per Mr Hellal, mayor of Margny-les-Compiegne and Mr Tondi Bello head of the village of Mehanna

IN THE AGRICULTURAL FIELD

  • Purchase of four motor-driven pumps to ensure the development of the market gardenings;

  • Provision of four mills with millet to facilitate the work of the women;

  • Realization of a hen house intended for the chicken breeding.

IN THE FIELD OF HEALTH

  • 600 mosquito nets were financed within the framework of the fight against paludism ;

  • 50 kg of drugs are conveyed with twice per annum for the urgent needs ;

  • The dispensary was equipped in medicalized beds, lookup tables and other materials: two containers conveyed in 2001 and 2003 ;

  • Send of 300 nutritive kg for the babies and infant to mitigate the food deficiencies caused by the invasion of the locusts pilgrims ;

  • Construction of a drilling intended to feed the water dispensary ;

  • Construction by the young people of Margny of a wall around the dispensary to stop the stranding (the wall of the friendship) ;

IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION

  • 3 classes were equipped in small table-benches, tables, offices, television sets, computers and material school ;

  • A library was created thanks to the sending of several thousands of books.

IN THE FIELD COMMERCIAL

  • Purchase of two refrigerators which made it possible to the women of the village to start a small trade of fresh products.

IN THE FIELD OF THE CULTURAL EXCHANGES

  • Bonds were woven between the primary schools and the college of Margny and Méhanna (correspondences, creation and exchanges of small objects, poems, photographs, drawings, etc) ;

  • Interventions of teachers on both sides to answer waitings of the children and to sensitize them ;

  • Visit in Margny-les-Compiegne of the Head of village, Mr TORDI BELLO, and of the Mayor of Méhanna, Mr Mohammed ABDOU, for the signature of the convention of partnership (2001 and 2005) ;

  • Visit of Mr Bernard HELLAL, Maire of Margny, in Méhanna (2004) ;

  • Each year, in February, a delegation of association Margny Jumelages goes to Méhanna to ensure the follow-up of the boards of village management and to discuss the new projects.
